Ingredients:
*1 cup granulated sugar
*1/2 cup water
*1/4 cup rosewater
*4 -6 saffron threads or 1/2 teaspoon
ground saffron
*2 sticks unsalted butter
*1 cup all purpose flour
Mode of Preparation:
1. In a small saucepan, bring sugar and
water to a boil.
2. Once sugar is dissolved, add saffron
and rosewater. You will have a syrup like texture. Remove from heat.
3. In a medium saucepan, melt butter on medium heat.
4. Add flour
slowly and mix with butter to make paste. Slowly add sugar syrup and blend together.
Remove from heat.
5. Immediately, spread mixture into ramekins, or onto a serving plate.
