The Book of Zohar

Background:
The Book of Zohar is the main book of the kabala (Jewish mysticism) trend.
The book contains studies (midrash -
homiletic interpretation) about the Torah (the Pentateuch) according to the
portion of the week. The book tells us how it's possible to influence on the
world by ours spiritual action.
The Book of Zohar divided to three main parts:
- The main Book of Zohar
- Torah Secrets and The Hidden Study
- “Rahaia Meheemna”and the Rectifications (“Tikunim”)
The three ‘Idrots’ contents:
* ‘Idra Raba’ - mainly contain the creation secrets regarding the prehistoric man and divinity revelation.
* ‘Idra
Zuta’ – tell us about "Rash-bee" (Rabi Shimon bar Yochai) death who announce secretes to his
students, secrets that he was afraid to reveal before that.
* ‘Idra
Debi Mishcana’ - "Rash-bee" and 3 of his students discuss about the
prayers secrets according to studies on the Tabernacle establishment verses.
The beginning of
The Book of Zohar starts in the third century inside little cave who called ‘Idra
Raba’ in a forest surround Zephath,
at the foot of the Meron mountain. Inside the cave, "Rash-bee"
together with 10 Rabbis found a
place to hide from the Romans regime.
The 10 Rabbis
hide in the cave 13 years. According to the “midrash”, they were fed from carob tree and drank water from fountain
near by. During the years in cave heir cloths was torn already, in order to
stay covered during the study, they cover them self with sand all over their
bodies and wrote what called today The Book of Zohar.
After 13 years, "Rash-bee"
and his son went out from the cave and gather
10 students to raise them spirituality, each one under his soul. In that way, "Rash-bee"
built common spiritual tool which
cause the student feel the superior world structure, the highest source of our
existence.
Rabbi Shimon Bar
Yochay told that he could have been able to write the book by himself and pass
him to the next generations in order to expose the book in later period.
Therefore, he used his famous student Rabbi Aba who wrote the The Book of Zohar
during the studies with his spiritual master. He wrote the book in Aramaic in
the beginning, but later he also included Greek and Latin. He wrote the book in
a way that the reader will understand only the outside layer of the book, only
someone who will reach the writer level, will find out the secret meanings of
the book.
The Book of
Zohar put out of use short time after he has been written. Few greatest sages of
Essence and highlight of The Book of Zohar:
The
Book of Zohar is definitely one of the famous and special book that ever been written.
Since he has been written, many stories and mystery myths related to him with
no limits. The magic around the The Book of Zohar is so powerful and attractive
that millions read him without even understanding the hiding meaning and cause
them deadlock feeling, while many others millions afraid of him.
The
Book of Zohar is prophecies and discoveries book which only big rabbis can decode.
Every
line, symbol and letter has accurate specific intention by the writer. All the
creation purpose, mankind future, knowledge and the history are hidden and underlying
inside this holy book. Moreover writing the book, his mysterious disappearance
and his new revealment are causing curiosity and exciting around the world.
The spiritual
experience that described in the Zohar is direct connection between man and Creator
(God). When Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochay wrote the book, he knew that the book in
not designed to his period, but only to the days of the Messiah, a later period
in the humanity life. There is a unique bond between The Book of Zohar, our
period and the Jewish people. The book has been written is a period of mental prosperity
means spiritual sublimity. After a while the Jewish people had experience of
spiritual exile, means lost of connection with the supreme world which was
expressed by the devastation of the second temple and long banishment. One of
the “exile period” ending lineament is the establishment of the State of Israel
and revelation The Book of Zohar which brought with him general spiritual revival.
