Michael Douglas and Danny DeVito hugged it out at Wednesday night's 23rd Israel Film Festival Honors at the Zeigfeld Theater.
The buddies recalled sharing an apartment on W. 89th St. in the 60s.
“Michael did the laundry,” DeVito told us.
“Did he tell you I was a slob?” Douglas asked. “Danny was sloppy. No, really, he was a great roommate. It was a magical time, We were getting paid to act!”
What about having girls over to the one-room pad?
“Danny was already spending time with [future wife] Rhea [Perlman]," Douglas recalled. "Me? Well, it was a magical time. You put a sock on the door.”
Douglas presented his “Romancing the Stone” co-star with a Lifetime Visionary Award. Also honored were director Irwin Winkler (introduced by Daily News publisher Mortimer Zuckerman) and Edward Zwick (introduced by actor Liev Schreiber).
